I have had the opportunity to spend time with so many great

families,

newborns,

lovebirds,

and teenagers lately.

I really wish I had more time to blog all of the shoots I've been doing,

but...

I just can't with my sweet kiddos, my awesome husband, and attempting to keep up with my sleep and exercise.

So I just want to say thank you to all of my clients that have kept me super busy this Fall and continue to do so. I love my job, I love the people I meet and the new friends I make daily.

One day.

I might be able to share more of my life and work with everyone. But as of now I'm just spending my time shooting and being a mom and wife and an every once in a while blogger!

This is my life saver,

This is Josie and some of her friends.

She turned 14 so we decided to do a shoot

with the girls!!!

It was fun, I love this age, so care free and happy!

This day and age is so hard, especially for girls.

So much pressure to be popular,

to be skinny,

to wear all the name brand clothes.

None of that matters.

We are all different, special and unique in our own ways,

that's what makes us who WE are.

We need to own it, own our individuality.

I hope and wish for all of these girls to know they are loved,

to know they are beautiful,

inside and out,

and to know that life is always better with friends,

and being happy with ourselves.

Love you girls and I'll be any of your second mom's anyday!!!

Trevor & Kelsey - Utah Wedding Photographer - Engagements

I've known Trevor for 7 or more years

and am so happy that he found Kelsey.

They are perfect together and I absolutely love her and am so, so, happy for them.

McAlpin Girls - Utah Children's Photographer

These three beauties are from California but come in town once a year to visit family and while they're here they always get their yearly photo shoot in. We did the whole family last year so this year it was just the girls.

Luckily we made it through the crazy, annoying, mosquitos even though we smelled like OFF! But hey it worked and those dang bugs stayed away.

I'm so glad they come back to me every year because it's so much fun to see them grow up!

So yes it's not a dream, don't rub your eyes, it's true I'm posting. I really do want to post more but to be quite honest my life with my 3 kids just hasn't allowed it much over the past year.

My baby is now 16 months and I can't believe how fast she's grown and how big she is now. (I just did a tiny, little post about her on my family blog that is even more outdated than this, one or two posts before that were her newborn pictures, embarrasing but true and just reality.)

Anyway, this family is great! I did their family pictures a few years ago when their baby was still in momma's tummy. Now again with another "surprise" on the way they decided it was time to update the family pictures before the baby bump started showing on this tiny little mom that is going to have her 6th child!

Way to go Ashley, (and Ethan) you are amazing parents. These kids are all so well behaved and were so much fun to spend the evening with.

I'll be excited to find out what this next baby is and will be even more excited to take pictures of he/she when they get here.

So I know that I've been neglecting the blog, both blogs for that matter over the past, what, 6 months. Well I just had to decide between work, kids, laundry, kids, cleaning, kids, and blogging. As my blog shows the first 6 things have been my priority over the past little while.

I really do want to blog, I like to blog, I want to share with everyone all the work I've been doing over the past few months, but there's just not much time to blog. So I don't!!!

But I am going to try to switch things up a little over the next couple months as the new year is approaching. I have lots of ideas for my business but no time to run with them. So hopefully after my life slows down around Christmas maybe I'll be able to work on some of these ideas.

I am still shooting like crazy. Yes, I still have a business and it's better than ever. I've shot 3 weddings, about 6 families, 2 newborns, and a few other things over the past 2 weeks. So ya I'm a little crazy, but it's good crazy!

Had to leave a picture of one of my favorite families. This is my cousin and his adorable family. We've always been close and I always love when we get together. The pictures were a little chaotic with 6 kids, but it's all fun and games and nobody even got hurt!

Dallas & Katelyn - Wedding

So I have to say that when it was a downpour on this wedding day I was really sad for these two. But, I am so glad that we decided to reschedule and go back another day and that they were up to getting ready for a second time in their wedding attire.

Really, taking the pictures on a different day was so nice. No time restraints, no stress, just plenty of time to have fun and let my creative juices flow, well at least until the sun went down.

Now besides the fact that there was a huge, orange crane right smack dab in the middle of the temple when we arrived, and it rained on us yet again for about 10 minutes, we took a deep breath, smiled, and waited. It stopped raining, the crane moved, and the sun came out with the perfect light on the temple and some pretty cool clouds.

We played around while we were waiting for the light to change and what do you know, the horse and carriage walked by just at the right time. I love it!!!

Once again, amazingly talented Jessica, made the bridesmaid and flower girl dresses. I love her style and perfection. The mother of the bride said it was worth every penny spent to have custom dresses made. Oh and Katelyn's veil was made by Jess too.

My husband has been friends with Pete since they were little. Misty and I have become really close over the years and we are so lucky to have such good friends. Love 'em!!! My kids absolutely love playing with Kaybrie, Parker, and Gracie. Well Gracie still just kinda does her own thing but is stinkin' adorable.

These two were a blast to shoot. They both had so much personality. Ashley's little boy tagged along for a while too. I loved her dress and I love that she wore her hair down, so soft and elegant.

I took Maddie's family pictures last year when I was in Denver. They flew in to celebrate her 1 year birthday and I was so glad they wanted me to capture her at this stage. I had such a fun time shooting these two.

Murphy and Peno are their "babies"

so they had to be in their engagement pictures.

This is what happens when you try to pose dogs. They listen real well!

I finally figured out that all I had to do to get them (the dogs) to look at me,

was to hold the treat bag over my head!

I saw the pitchfork and I had to.

It was a little hard to get them to be serious.

These two laughed a lot

together.

I really have tried

half a dozen times

every time I sit down at the computer,

a 3 or 4 year old needs me,

or a newborn needs me,

I fall asleep.

Which is usually the problem.

I really can't even get on the computer

during the day anymore.

So at night it is, but right now

from getting up once or twice a night,

I'm just too tired.

Hopefully that will change soon enough.

Channing is a such a sweetheart!

She's a really good baby

and I am so happy to have her a part of our

FAMILY.

We really do feel like that now,

a family.

I have always been about 2 weeks early.

This little one decided to make me wait.

So I was induced a week early

because

I couldn't handle being pregnant anymore.

Everything went well.

We are both home and healthy.

Bailey and Beau love her,

Bailey just keeps saying,

"Mom, she's so cute!"

Beau told her once when she was whimpering in her sleep,

"It's okay there's no monsters in our house."

It's crazy to have 3 kids,

at home.

I love my family!

in the same fabric.

Miracles still happen! I'm actually posting a shoot!

Seriously I have 15+ shoots that I haven't blogged. I really want to put up at least a few from each shoot and am hoping I will find the time.

This wedding was so wet and cold but Parker and Meegan were great sports to let me get as many shots as we did! I felt so bad for Meegan's feet. She had the cutest little green shoes on and her toes were wet and freezing. We took a few breaks in between shots to go inside and warm her up! They are a beautiful couple and I loved her colors! Green and gray!!! Check out the bridesmaids dresses and her dress!

This first picture I had fun playing around with. The videographer was getting one of them walking together so while he was working I decided to play a little! I kinda like it!

Aren't these gorgeous dresses! I love how the skirts are all unique in their own way! They are made by my friend Jess at Jessicamaybridal.wordpress.com She has made some adorable dresses for my little Bailey that are some of Bailey's favorites. She also made the brides dress too!

Joe, Mandi, & Emerson

So back in October I went out to Denver for about 5 days and did 5 shoots. It was crazy busy but I got all the shoots done and edited and left them there with the families. So it was pretty much a business trip with a "little" play!

I went out there to visit one of my good friends that I met over 9 years ago when I was a camp counselor in New York for a summer! Mandi and I hit it off right away and we have been close friends ever since. It's fun to keep in touch and visit each other now and then. They added Emme to their family just over a year ago and isn't she a doll! She has the cutest face and I love her big brown eyes. Here are a few that I took of their family while I was there. Hopefully I will get some of the other families on here sooner than later.

I love these kids and I love their mom! I have been taking pictures for their family for the past three years. I did Halle's newborn pictures and it's been so much fun to watch her grow. I love shooting for these guys because their mom (one of my good friends) always has cute stuff to bring.

I love when clients bring lots of clothes and even props to show their individuality! It adds so much character to the session.

Our Governor and Our First Lady...

Gary Herbert and his wife, Jeanette Herbert are so nice! They invited me up to the Governor's mansion to take some pictures of them with their grandkids for their Christmas card this year. I also was able to get a tour (and see their living quarters which most of the public is not allowed to see) and it is all gorgeous! I have been doing their family pictures for the past 3 years now. Their children and their grandkids are all so sweet and cooperated great for me, once again. They are very easy to be around and very easy to talk to.

Their daughter, Shannon is one of my good friends and I have been doing her families and kids pictures for quite a while now too. While we were shooting we were able to capture a few individuals of those cuties as well!

Dax - newborn

This is my adorable new nephew, Dax. He is going to be about 5 months older than my baby. Yep, you heard that right I am pregnant again and due at the end of March. Pretty exciting but that's one of the reasons my blog posts are few and far between. I have been so exhausted this pregnancy, it's been very different. We're super excited to add another one to our bunch.

Dax sure has made me excited to have another newborn around. I am ready to hold another little one in my arms.

I went to Denver a couple of weeks ago and still need to post some of the shoots I did while I was there. Hopefully I'll get around to it sooner than later. It was a fun trip visiting an old friend and meeting a bunch of new families that I was lucky to photograph.

Today is a little different day being that it's the 5th anniversary of my sweet angel boy that returned to his Heavenly Father 5 years ago today. It's been a little emotional but I have been able to spend the day loving my two that I have here with me and being able to look back on the memories that we were privileged to create with Payton during his short earth life. We visited Payton's grave tonight with the kids and they love to give his picture kisses on his headstone. I love that my kids know who he is and that he will always be part of our family.

Thanks to all of my friends and family that have given me calls or texts to tell me they are thinking of us on this day!

This is one of my good friends and her adorable family. They just decided to take off and move to California. (well it's for her husband's work), but anyway, I was sad they had to leave Utah. So before they left we HAD to get some pictures of them with the Utah farmland that they've lived near for the past 6+ years.

It was a beautiful night and we got way too many good shots. Basically I didn't get rid of nearly as many as I should have. So Brandi, you have a ton of pictures.

This first picture on the right here shows the personalities that Caden and Ashton have. They are two goofy little boys, making kissy faces when I told their mom and dad to kiss. You can see see Melise's head running back to her parents she didn't want to sit still for very long for me.

This is the second year that I've taken this families pictures. This year it was the "little mister" that made me work for my paycheck, not Mylie the adorable only sister. This family is a lot of fun, the older boys are such good kids and did everything I asked them to do and were so patient with their little bro!

I had to share a few more of the two youngest because I was really excited how many dang cute pictures we got! Mom brought Lollipop's for the end and they sure loved them! Lily, no need to stress anymore as you can see we got tons of good ones...

We had to reschedule once because of weather for these family pictures. We almost had to reschedule again but Claire, the mom, said that we were going to do it and she didn't care if they were soaked at the end. And... soaked they were. Seriously when we were almost done I thought we were going to have a tornado, ya in Utah! Then, a southern rainstorm came, it reminded me of the storms in Texas... then lighting struck and hit my in-laws house which was about 100 yards from where we were hiding. Which we were hiding underneath with the pigs on the farm. It was a very memorable photo shoot.

In the end we got tons of awesome shots, this family is absolutely gorgeous, seriously they could be a model family. The kids were so well behaved and followed directions perfectly. Right before we were leaving a rainbow came out so we had to get one last shot.

Cassidy, Kate, & Brooklyn

These are two of my many gorgeous nieces. This photo shoot was so much fun, I was seriously laughing half the time because these two are such goof balls. I kept quite a few goofy pictures but also got rid of a lot. I love these two and it has been so much fun to watch them grow up!

I cannot believe how behind I am on blogging. It seems to be the story of my life right now. My family blog has kinda been forgotten and I don't know if I will ever post on it again. (hopefully that's not the case.) And, well, this blog I am seriously going to try and play catch up.

I love this family. I have done pictures for them for the past few years, family and newborn. Ty, the newborn, is actually 2 months old now. How embarrassing that I am just now posting these. Sometimes when it's been that long I just let it go and don't post them but these boys are too cute to not share. Don't worry they had their pictures a long time ago I just never got around to posting them.

He was an average size baby but in Daddy's hands he looks tiny!

Amanda - Baptism

This is my absolutely gorgeous niece, Amanda. She was born one month before Jeremy and I got married.

When we went to California last month I told my sister in law to bring Amanda's baptism dress so we could take her pictures on the beach. I am so glad we did! Even though it was a cloudy and windy day I love all of them. I wish we had a beach here that was clean and pretty and pure like Amanda looks in all of these.

This reception was so pretty. It was a beautiful night and their backyard was awesome. I only did the reception for Brett and Aurie and I was so glad they asked me. This wedding had great decor, great food, and the whole atmosphere was perfect. The bride's mom did almost everything from making all of the dresses, vests, ties, decor, and she took the bridals and engagements and the temple pictures. Talk about an awesome mom!

Kirstie-bridals

Way over due, meaning that I just photographed her wedding this past weekend. Yep I'm so far behind but am still trying to catch up.

This is Kirstie, one of the sisters of the double wedding I did this last weekend. Kirstie is so pretty with her big brown eyes and olive skin, she is a beauty. I will say it again, La Caille is an awesome place to shoot and I am so glad that Kirstie and her sister Elisha (her bridals are two posts ago) chose to do their bridals there. Plenty of options for two beautiful brides!

Keep watch for their weddings in the next couple of weeks, but don't hold your breath because when I get too busy my blog is the first thing I neglect. I know it's sad but true. I am trying to do better, but time just doesn't allow right now, maybe one day.

Elisha - bridals

How fun would it be to get married a day apart from your sister and have a joint reception?!! That's what Elisha and Kirstie are doing and I am the lucky one that gets to capture everything for them. I had a great time shooting Elisha's bridals! She is such a beautiful bride. They decided that they wanted to do their pictures at La Caille and what a great choice, they can't go wrong there. La Caille has so many places to shoot and I wish I had more time to do even more.

It's late and I'm getting sleepy so I will only be posting Elisha's on here tonight. I will do Kirstie's tomorrow night sometime. I am trying to play catch up on my blog. Seriously while I was resizing and getting them ready to put on here I almost forgot what I was doing it's been so long since I've blogged.

Our vacation was great! I wasn't quite ready to come back to real life yet, it's way too busy! But I had to and I edited 5 shoots in a day and a half. I can't say that I've done that before or that I ever want to do it again. But, I can say it feels good to have all of those done.

I am so behind on posting right now and I will hopefully get caught up in the next week or so. Right now I have more seniors, newborns, families, and brides to post. But, as for now I am in California enjoying Disneyland and the beach with my family. I will be back to normal life (well at least as normal as my life can get) early next week.

So to all of you that are waiting on your pictures they are coming, I haven't forgotten about you. Thank you so much for being patient and allowing me to have a blast with my kiddos and my husband and some of his family. We really are having so much fun and don't want it to end even though we know it will sooner than later.

This is another cute nephew of mine! There's a lot of them and the birthday season is starting so you'll be seeing a lot of my nieces and nephews on here. Noah is a month older than Beau and they are finally starting to play with each other and always get super excited to see each other. In the past Noah hasn't been the biggest fan of me taking his pictures. This time he did awesome and we got some of his cute little smile!

This is my A-dorable nephew! He just turned 1 and he was such a little ham for the pictures, I loved it! He does this cute little face where he scrunches up his face, and I'm glad I got it a few different times!

This was so funny when we gave him the cake. He wouldn't touch it forever with his hands. He'd barely poke it with his finger and then he just tried to lean over and eat it with no hands. We were laughing pretty hard!
Look at those rolls on his thighs!!! He's going to hate me for this when he's older.

I am so ready for warm weather. I love snow, but usually only the first few snows of winter... not in March. After shooting Layers swimsuits and now their new spring tops I am really ready to get out to the pool, get a tan, and give my kids something else to do besides paint, play dough, and building forts with the couch cushions. There are tons, tons, tons, of cute ones. Plus the model of course looked good in every one, which makes me want all of them. They all fit so good, they're not skin tight. Just comfy, simple, yet stylish!

I have been taking pictures of Halle since she was born. It's crazy that she's already two! Time flies. She is a little talker and has been since she was ONE. Seriously she started talking so early and it's way cute. Anyway, she had fun getting dressed up in the pettiskirt and had fun twirling around in it. Her mom is one of my good friend and also the one who does all of the cute frames from Bluebird Frame Co. (link is on my sidebar)

In this picture she was showing me that she's 2! I loved that she did it with both hands.

Layers swimwear!

I did another shoot for Layers Clothing Company and it was so much fun. A little chilly for a swimsuit shoot but the most beautiful day we've had in a long time. Honestly I couldn't have asked for a the sky to be more blue.

There are 12 suits coming out so I put one shot up of each suit (except the first one because I loved the shots I got). I love doing shoots like this because I get to do whatever I want. Fun, creative, different, whatever I feel, I do. Anyway here's a little sneak peak at the suits that will be here soon.

Their new spring line of shirts will be shot next week. So in the next few weeks look for those too.

This is my new niece! The first one on my side of the family. (Since I have like 28 nieces and nephews on Jeremy's side) She belongs to my brother and she looks a lot like him. There are a ton of pictures here because she did awesome for me. She slept and slept and slept. She let me try a lot of new things that I've been wanting to try for a while now but just haven't. She went through a lot to get here, being that she was 9lbs. 3 oz. at birth and made here mama give us all a scare. Holy cow, I have no clue how my little sister in law accomplished that.

Anyway she's here, happy, healthy and is now a month old and already sleeping through the night. Lucky parents.

This little guy slept so good! It was probably one of my easier newborn sessions. He slept and we moved him around a ton. I love his hair, his face, his lips, his eyes, really he made me really baby hungry all around. Yep, I just said that! He was so stinkin' adorable, I think I'm "almost" ready for another.

I love when I'm able to capture one of their "I'm almost in a deep sleep" smiles!

Little miss Kate came in for a mini session! It's crazy to me that she's already 6 months old. It seems like yesterday that we were just doing her newborn session. She did great and smiled so easily, at first. Near the end all she wanted was mommy so we got a few of those and they turned out great. It was a perfect mini session. Aren't her eyes gorgeous!?

She went from happy and smiley to "I want my mommy" in a matter of seconds.

I love his hair! It's not too often that I have newborns with a full head of dirty blonde hair come in. I loved it couldn't get over it! Lately it seems like all the newborns coming in just don't want to fall asleep. I don't know what it is! I'm dying of heat because I crank my little heater in the studio up to make it warm enough for these little ones. It usually does the trick but Ryker just wanted to see what we were doing with him. But, once he was out we got this first shot that I love, especially with the texture and my new hat I just got. Beware you'll be seeing a lot of it!

There's one shot at the very end of his older brother that came along. Which by the way was one of the most well behaved 2 year olds ever.

I think the name Teyha is such a pretty name, especially for such an adorable baby. I love her hair, and her little pouty lips. She didn't want to sleep too much but she was very content while she was awake so it worked out great!

This is 3 generations here, and a great picture of all 3 girls together, all calm and looking at me...
I tell you I'm having a lot of moms coming in with 3 kids all very close to each other. I look up to all of you because I know it's hard work. With my Bailey and Beau being 16 months apart, that's a handful for me.
I so wish that Teyha wasn't crying in the above picture because the two older sisters look so stinkin' adorable! Once again, I always tell everyone I'm willing to try to get a group shots of siblings but I don't make any promises on how they'll turn out, but I still love the above shot.

This little guy did not want to sleep. But, when they came back for the second go around about an hour later, he was out and we were able to get some great shots. Now, his older sisters gave me a workout, seriously I was sweating, especially with the little heater I turn on to warm it up in the studio for newborns. But when you're 3, 2, and just a week old you're going to give anyone a workout. Elise you are awesome and your kids are beautiful. I love Halle's hair, and their eyes are so blue. Hope you like!!!

The one on the left below I was just playing around in photoshop with some different techniques. I think I like it.?! The one on the right just proves that it's not a piece of cake take pictures of multiple children. It is seriously hard work, but I just couldn't get rid of it.

This is my cousin that I babysat for when I was younger, and she was a lot younger. I posted her bridals a while back and now here's their special day. Believe it or not for a January wedding it was probably one of the warmest days of the whole month. We lucked out. It was gloomy and the wind picked up as we were finishing one of our last pictures. These two are so adorable together and Jesse is such a gentleman. For the little time we had we ended up with a lot of shots.

I photographed Isaac when he was a newborn over 2 1/2 years ago. He is so big and so still so stinkin' cute!!! Roxy has the same big & beautiful eyes that Isaac had and still has, she is adorable. She's, I think about 6 weeks old which is older than most newborns that I shoot. So, no sleeping shots this time, but she did great! This shoot was supposed to be mostly for Roxy but Isaac was being such a ham, that I just kept shooting.

I did Amy's bridals a while back and to think of it I shot this wedding a while back too, I just never got around to posting it on here. Mikey is one of my best friends little brothers that is still a little kid to me. Amy is absolutely gorgeous and both of them were willing to let me keep taking more and more pictures even though it was pretty cold out. I love this first shot!

Here's a new nephew of mine. He is the first boy in this family with 3 older sisters. He was only a week old here and he is so BIG. My sister in law is only 5' 2" and is tiny. This little guy was 8 lbs. 10 oz. and 21 inches long. Don't ask me how she did it but she did! He is the best baby ever and sleeps so good at night. It's fair but it's not at the same time. (fair for her but not for the rest of us) I just wish all babies we're great sleepers right from the start.

Anyway, I think he is the cutest thing and I'm lucky that he lives right next door because I can go hold him whenever I want to help me hold off for a little longer. I need Beau to get a little bit older before we add to our family again since him and Bailey are so close.

This is my cute niece that lives in Florida and whenever they come in town I usually take family pictures of all of them. Since they do live in Florida and when they got here there was at least 2 feet of snow on the ground and it didn't stop for like 5 days straight, they decided to skip the family pictures and wait until summer.

So instead we decided to get some of this little cutie for her 3rd birthday. She usually isn't a big fan of the camera. (Last year all we got was pouts) But, finally I broke through to her and we had fun in the studio. It was just her and me, I told my sister in law to go out and let me work my magic. Well we got some, she wouldn't let me try too many things but we did great for the short time that Jyllian allowed me. This is one of the six babies that was born within 6 months of each other along with my Bailey. It's complete chaos (but also fun) when we have all of them together.

This family convinced me to go out in the snow with them on Christmas Eve to get a picture of them since it's been quite a few years since they've all been together to get an updated picture. It was a really pretty day and a bit chilly. (I swear I don't remember it being this cold the past few years, I think I say that every year) The babies did better than I expected but we were pretty quick!

Susan (the main mama here) owns the Primrose Retreat down in Spanish Fork. It is a gorgeous day spa, tea room, and boutique! They also do the best little girl birthday parties in a section that they call SPOILED ROTTEN!!! I did Bailey's 3rd Birthday Party there a few weeks ago and it was a blast. They got to dress up, get their hair done,walk down the runway, and have a tea party with hot cocoa and cupcakes. Lots of fun!

I did Avery's newborn pictures not too long ago but we had to get her in before she grew out of her blessing dress. She came in for a mini session and I don't think she wanted to be back already. She didn't give me too many smiles until after we were done which is how it works sometimes. She is getting so big and chunking up. I never have chubby babies... maybe one day!

I know, I know it has been so long since I've posted any shoots. Well this is how it's been. I was supposed to take all of December off but people kept calling and it's soooooo hard for me to say no. So of course I took a "few" more shoots than I was planning on and put blogging on the back burner so I could enjoy the holidays with my family and my kiddos who were so fun to watch on Christmas this year.

Anyway...

I am going to try to catch up and post a few from about the last 10 or so shoots that I've done and haven't posted. Hopefully in the next few days I'll get some up on here.

So why not start out the new year with some crazy girls that could pull some great faces, serious, funny, top model, you name it, they did it. One is my adorable niece Paige (the one in the purple pants, blue shirt, and green sweater. I guess if I want to be in style still, I need to try to NOT match my clothes when I get dressed in the morning, right Paige??? love ya girlie!)

It was a super fun shoot, one of the 3 I did the week of Christmas. Why can't I say no to people, I'm going to work on that this year because my kids and my husband need to come first this year! They really put up with a lot this past year.

Happy New Year, a few days late. Let's all start fresh and keep those goals and resolutions going, it's only the 2nd week so we can't give up yet! I guess I better get mine started.

I had to start with this picture because I love it. He was so ready to be done with our pictures. We had the coldest wind chill ever and they were all such troopers. I was super excited to see that there were so many I love. I was afraid that Angie's hair was going to be all over the place and that the kids noses were going to be bright red. I love these girls like my own. They are my nieces and live right next door. Beautiful, sweet, and a little sassy. We had tons of fun during their shoot. It was just them and me and we just got to play around. Sierra (the youngest) is 4 months older than Bailey and they are such good friends. She's the culprit that gave Bailey a little haircut a couple of weeks ago. Ya, that's right SHE gave Bailey a haircut, thank goodness my SIL does hair and was able to make it into a pretty cute and short A-line. Good thing her hair grows fast.

This is my BIL's family. They are faithful on their family and kids pictures every year. Tate is a busy body. He sure kept me running to catch up to him. Elle made me almost lose my voice trying to get her to crack a smile. But in the end, we got a few. They are all so sweet!

Christmas Cards Part 1

Ok, so here's the deal. I have been so busy with life, photography, my kids, and everything else that we do everyday that I haven't been able to design any new Christmas cards for this year. I am going to try to get around to is this weekend, or I am going to buy some already made templates that I like. I just haven't decided which way I want to go with it yet.

I had big plans for doing some different cards this year, (bi-fold, tri-fold, front/back, etc.) but that hasn't and most likely isn't going to happen. So hopefully next year I'll get on top of things. For now here are a few of my last years designs and if any of you that I've done pictures for like any of these designs, let me know and we can change the wording, names, date, etc. To make it YOURS!

How it will work -
I'll put your pictures in that you choose from our photo session, you can have me put any text on it that you want, I make a copy for you and you go make copies to your hearts content.

These are all 5x7 sizes, which are .60 cents each at Kennys Photo (where I do pretty much all of my printing). They are just one sided and would be printed on regular photo paper. (envelopes are not included)

Contact me by phone or email if you are interested in any of these. Or wait until next week to see what else I've come up with or decided to do.

This is Lt. Governor Gary Herbert and his gorgeous wife and their gorgeous family. Seriously I didn't think it was possible for so many good looking people to be in one family. They all (and I mean every single one of them) have flawless skin which makes my job a lot easier, beautiful smiles, great eyes, and good hair. (I'm not jealous just a little envious, if it's allowed)

Anyway, we got a lot of good shots of each family and the big group (minus one, I'm still working on that, and the family will know what I mean). I am so pleased with how all of these turned out!

Yep, for all of you American Idol fans that is Carmen Rasmussen, (now Herbert). She is just as beautiful in person, and just as sweet as she was on T.V. They are expecting they're first boy (I think) in a few weeks.

Windy, chilly, and not a lot of light, but... beautiful bride makes for beautiful pictures. She did awesome considering the weather. Loved her dress and the wind worked to our benefit for some pictures as well as the light. I love shooting bridals at Thanksgiving Point in the big gardens. The fall leaves were gorgeous as well as the waterfall. We got a good workout running around the gardens since all of their golf carts were taken and we were literally racing the sun. All in all, we got some beautiful shots.

It is so hard to decide which pictures to post when there are so many cute ones!!! This was our second try for these boys. On the day of our first shoot Conner decided to wake up from his nap with a fever and he was not having it. Tanner was pretty bummed because he was so excited to bring his tools to fix the truck and to see all the animals. (I'm pretty lucky that my in-laws have a farm with animals and the best photo ops)

So a few days later when Conner was feeling better we went out again and they did awesome! Super happy and just lovin' life!!! Their poor mom (who is a friend of mine) was 35 weeks pregnant at the time and just off bed rest and I dragged her all around the farm. She's having a girl this time, YIPEE!!! Heather I hope you love them as much as I do and I'm sorry if you have a hard time deciding which ones to enlarge because I would.

This is my cute nephew! My success on shoots with him hasn't been the best in the past but it is getting better. The last two shoots we "tried" to do he just cried and literally acted like he was so afraid of me (hopefully it's really the camera and not me).
But this time we just let him run free around the farm and it turned out great!!! He's not a big smiler but once again those big eyes don't need a big smile with them. He's only 1 month older than my Beau, (that reminds me I need 18 mth. pictures of my own child don't I???) Julie, hope you like...

So about a month ago I had three of the funnest days shooting the winter line for Layers Clothing. I've been meaning on posting some pictures from the shoot before now but I've been so busy it hasn't been on the top of my list of things to do. Now that they have their website updated with their winter line I decided to share some.

There are so many clothes that I love and am going to have to purchase for myself. I love their clothes, the model was gorgeous, the owners (now new friends) were so fun to work with (good thing because we spent 3 full days together) and it was so much fun to do something a little different.

I wish I could put all the pictures on here because they all turned out awesome!!! But just go to their website and you can see most of them. They just moved to a new location just off of 90th South and you can go try everything on. So go check them out!

It's too bad we didn't have a camera crew for this shot. The chicken jumped out of her hands and we were all running around laughing hysterically trying to catch it. Luckily my dad was there and he caught it and put it back for us. He was laughing watching us try to catch this little guy. pretty funny!!!

Two kids 2 and under!!! Does that say enough. These two little ones were just looking at me the whole shoot wondering who I was and why I was jumping up and down, making crazy noises, trying to get them to crack a smile. But... once again there are some great shots in the hundreds that we took. And you know me, I'm a sucker for the blank stare look anyway, I love it and both River and Saylor have the best eyes! Whitney I hope you like them and that these allow you to take a deep breath and say, "it WAS worth it"!!!

Big post for a big family!!! This family is a little bit of his, hers, and theirs. Three are his, one is hers, and three belong to both of them. Really they are just ONE big happy family! Once again another reason why I "think" I want a big family. (not quite this big but close)
This might be a little bit too much personal info. but I have to share! Maryjane has gotten pregnant on the pill, on an IUD, and then Sean got fixed. They were done but then...

Maryjane just found out she's pregnant with her 5th to give birth to and her 8th help raise. Craziness yes, but everything happens for a reason, right, and they are excited...!!!

Everyone always tells me that I get the best pictures of my kids and I had to show proof that I don't. These are my two! Bailey didn't get a good nap and woke up ornery and I literally had to force her Halloween costume on her. Beau was super happy until he saw his cousin that had a skeleton mask on and it freaked him out so bad he was shaking. (that's where his eyes are looking, he's watching him to make sure he doesn't come any closer) It didn't take too long or too much candy to get them both happy and enjoying the night.

Crying or not, they are pretty dang cute pirates!!!

Little Avery here belongs to a beautiful mommy who I did maternity shots of a couple of months ago. I'm so glad we were able to get her in before she got too old, my schedule was crazy for October. I am so glad that October is over!!! Texas, Denver, sick kids, Layers Clothing shoot (more to come later on that) baby shower, Halloween, I think everything for my whole year happened in October. So I'm glad it's November now and my life can slow down, well not really slow down, but maybe get a little organized again, maybe...

Avery did pretty good, some newborns sleep the whole time and some I just take fast pictures so that when my lights go off and they close their eyes so they look like they're sleeping. Well, that's what some of these are and you'd never know.

You might recognize Shauna from Channel 2 News. This is her cute family of boys! Cole and Luke were so well mannered and polite and did a great job. Todd I'm glad you made it home in time and that you were able to stay awake after your long night of travel.

Thanks for trusting me on locations Shauna even though we did have to hike a little. I hope it was all worth it to you. I think they turned out great, you are beautiful.

I received an email this morning from the mom of the little girl that received our son Payton's heart 4 years ago today. Being able to donate Payton's heart was and still is one thing that brings comfort and peace to Jeremy and I. Knowing that we were able to help another family not have to go through losing a child makes us happy, because it is sooooooo hard. I don't have too much to say today so I'm just sharing this.

Here is the email she wrote to us...

4 years ago today...
Wow. Its so bittersweet. I want you to know that Payton is our angel. I have never expressed to you how very thankful I am that you made the unselfish choice that you did. If it weren't for that very hard decision you made, I may not have my daughter, my reason for living. Baeley is doing so well and I know its because she has the heart of an angel inside of her.

Lochlan is the cutest little thing ever! Love the hair, the eyes, his older brothers, and especially his mom who is one of my close friends. Too bad he didn't want to just go to sleep and cooperate for me. Even though he didn't sleep or hold still very long, he did just long enough to get what we needed.

Oh, I almost forgot to mention the cutest Halloween costumes ever that their mom made for them. All three of them pirates and I'd have to say the cutest pirates ever. (almost the cutest, my Beau is going to be a pirate too and I'm sure it'll be tough competition) But, for real Marianne you never cease to amaze me with your many talents.
